Baltimore and Ohio EMC EA #52 leads a passenger train past the CNJ Dunellen Yard. B&O 52 seen here was catastrophically wrecked while leading the westbound National Limited at Bond Creek in Cornwallis, WV in the early hours of May 31st, 1956 as a result of a rock slide, having tumbled off a bridge and split in half. Noting the later styling seen on B&O 52 here (grilles, numberboards, side paneling) this would have likely been during its final months, circa early-to-mid-1956. |
