Lehigh Valley ALCO C628 #630, the first Snowbird painted red, is seen at Sayre, PA next to ALCO C420 #414. The #630 was one of two C628s painted in Tuscan red while the #414 wears the brighter Cornell red. The Tuscan looks badly oxidized for a paint job which is only two and a half years old. The #630 was painted Tuscan in January 1972 and would go to Cornell in February 1975. |
